At this time, how to book safely?

Book today with peace of mind with our cancellation guarantee . This gives you the right to cancel your booking up to the start date of your stay in any of the following cases:

  • COVID 19 (positive test or in contact with someone positive)
  • Other medical reasons (health state not allowing you to move or go in holidays)
  • Professionnal reasons
  • Personal reasons

Further details:

  • More than 8 days before your stay, choose between: the REFUNDING of the stay (without the insurance fees) or a VOUCHER available for 1 calendar year.
  • Less than 8 days before your stay, get a VOUCHER of the amounts paid, available for 1 calendar year

This option must be taken out within 48 hours of booking, and corresponds to 10% of the stay (excluding ancillary services). Is there a deposit to make?

Yes, we ask 30% of deposit in the 8 following days of the booking, and the balance of the payment 30 days before the beginning of the stay.

Are the availibilities on the website updated?

Yes, all our availibilities are instantly updated, the research needs to be made with the dates of your stay. Don’t hesitate to call us directly at +33474303232 to get all our availibilities for a particular accommodation.

Is there a waiting period to receive the confirmation of my internet request?

You will receive your confirmation of booking or an answer to your internet request under 24h to 48h.

What are the payment options?

You can pay by cheque, credit card, cash, vacation vouchers, chéquier jeune 01 and bank transfer. We also accept certain wonderbox offers and cabanes de France checks for stays.

What are the measures put in place?

The entire team is looking forward to welcoming you soon. Our cleaning protocoles are thought in order to welcome you in the best conditions. Our team is trained to use environmentally responsible products.

Practical information

What time can I arrive?

The handover is from 3pm, but you can come earlier to enjoy the Domaine if you want. Simply report to reception, where our team will welcome you and provide you with access wristbands, a map and explanations of our offers. Please notify us if you arrive after 6pm.

Can we go the swimming pool for the day?

Our swimming pool is not accessible if you don’t stay with us. Likewise, the walk around the Domaine and our animal parks are reserved to our residents. If you come for the day, you’ll have access to accrobranche, mini-golf, mountain biking, Rosalie, Duo Bike, rowing, fishing, SPA… You’ll find more information on the “activities ” page of our website.

What time do we need to leave the accommodation on day of departure?

Accommodation must be vacated by 11 a.m. at the latest (it is possible to check out at 3 p.m. if the cabin is not rented for €15 (see on site). You are welcome to stay all day on the domaine and enjoy the activities and animals after you have vacated your accommodation.

How much is the entry cost to the animal parks?

We don’t do daily entries to the animal parks. The walk around the animal parks is reserved to the residents. If you come for the day, you’ll have the chance to see our animals if you book one of the following activities: – Private one-hour visit with an animal keeper – Rent a mountain bike, Mono/duo bike or Rosalie to discover the estate while pedaling for 1 hour! Can we visit the Domaine and the accommodations for a future booking?

No, it is not possible to visit in order to preserve the tranquility of our vacationers staying at the Domaine and mostly to keep some surprise. Find all the important information on the website and of course our team remains at your disposal by email or by phone for any further details.

Is there a wifi connection?

At the Domaine de la Dombes, disconnection is in the spotlight. So, no wifi throughout the Domaine ! A wifi point is available at reception only.

Is there charging station for electric cars on the spot?

We don’t have a charging station for electric vehicles at the Domaine. However, you can find some in supermarkets in the surroundings (approximately 10 minutes from the Domaine).

Can I join the Domaine by public transports?

There is no public transport serving the Domaine. The nearest railway station is in Saint Paul de Varax, 4km away.

Can I come with horses?

We are referenced “Relais étape” on the website of Ain à cheval. You can come with horses at the Domaine. We have a saddlery at your disposal, and we can welcome your horses in our donkeys parks.

Stay

What should we bring for a night in a cabin?

It is essential to supply yourself with a flashlight, your toilet bag (towel, shower gel and shampoo), a bottle of water, and a charged cellphone. Pillows and duvets are provided. Think about bringing your credit card for the deposit.

Can I come with a baby?

We have a number of family cabins available for children under 2: the Ranch, Fauns, Wild Boars, Prestige, Hérissons, Lutins, Hiboux, Pigeonnier, Caba’tente and Sika. We offer the rental and installation of a cot + high chair for €10 on request (subject to stock availability). Under 2 years old the child is free, more than 2 years old the child is considered as an extra person occupying a bed and taking a breakfast. For camping rentals, the Meublés, Casa home, Cas’âne and Casa family can accommodate an umbrella bed under certain conditions.

Can I come with a pet?

Pets are allowed on our camping pitches, and in our camping accommodations (Meublé de tourisme, Casa home). However, they are not welcome in unusual accommodations. You can walk with your pet around the Domaine, however they are not allowed in the animal area.

Can we have visitors during our stay?

It is possible for each resident to have only one visitor per day (e.g.: if you are 3 residents, you can have a maximum of 3 visitors). They must present themselves at reception, indicating the name of the resident, pay a fee of €4/person and pick up a wristband. All visitors under 2 years of age are free. With this bracelet, visitors have the right to access the Domaine on foot and to swim (the vehicle must remain in the outdoor parking lot in front of reception). All visitors must leave the site by 7 p.m. to ensure the peace and quiet of the Domaine for local residents. It is not possible to exceed the maximum capacity of an accommodation or a bare pitch. If this has already been reached, please use the picnic areas to gather together.

Catering

Is breakfast included?

Brekfast is included and delivered in all our lodges in the morning from 8.30am to 9am. It includes bread, butter, jam, honey, chocolate spread, pastry, apple juice and a hot beverage. Breakfast is not included for the Meublés, Casahome, Cas’âne and Casa family but can be added for 12€ per person.

Eat on the spot?

We offer on site :

  • the delivery of dinner basket
  • the takeway sale of a 100% local products tasting basket for lunch
  • Some beverages and snacks to buy at the reception (crisps, terrine, water, soda, beer…)
  • A bar snack with a large choice on the spot (open during certain periods of the season)

You can bring your own cold picnic, or go out and dine in one of the local restaurants. The choice is yours! IMPORTANT: no cooking device is allowed (bbq, plancha, raclette device, crepe device…)

Gift coupon

How long is a gift coupon valid?

Our gift coupons are valid 2 years from the purchase day. The validity date is written on the gift coupon. The Domaine is open from April to November (depending on the period) but the phone permanence is assured all year long in order to allow you to book. We recommend to book in advance for satudrays evenings (5 to 7 months in advance).

Is it possible to extend the validity of a gift coupon?

Yes, you can extend the vailidity of a gift coupon for an extra year, for the price of 20€. The extension demand needs to be done in writing before the initial ending date of the gift coupon.

Can we modify our gift coupon?

Yes your git coupon in the categories STAYS, ACTIVITIES and WELLNESS can be modified: number of persons, type and range of accommodation, various options. You just have to call directly or send an email in order to see this together.

Fidelity program

What benefit can I get from the fidelity program?

By subscribing to the fidelity program, you cumulate points which will give you access to discounts for your next stays depending on different levels. More information on that program here.

How many points do I need to benefit from discounts?

Over the course of your stay, you’ll be able to accumulate points to reach different levels and benefit from discounts. The tiers are as follows:

  • HORTENSIA: from 1000 to 2500 points; you will benefit from a -5% discount for your next stays
  • EPICEA: 2500 to 000 Points; you will benefit from a -10% discount for your next stays
  • SEQUOIA: 5000 Points et +; you will benefit from a -15% discount for your next stays

How are the points calculated?

The points are calculated depending on your stays at the Domaine. 1€ = 1 POINT (on the price of the nights only, pre-tax price)

When are my points credited?

You points will be credited on your account 3 days after your departure. You can consult your points on your online account.

What is the period of validity of my fidelity program?

You fidelity card in valid 2 years from the date of your subscription.

Can I give my points to somebody else or have many accounts?

The fidelity program is nominative; only one account by person is possible.
